Hello all!
Senioritis is REAL!
Teachers keep assigning homework. Yes, I know it's their job, but do they honestly think we are going to retain this information. NO. I only remember information to pass the test. I always think of alternatives for the education system because along with its many pros, there are many cons.
Luckily I've always been able to listen in class and retain most the information and not have to study for the test, but definitely don't remember anything after the test. It actually kind of bothers me because I feel like that time was wasted. After four years of college I feel like I should be able to write several textbooks, but that's not the case. All I have to show is my GPA. I could have been studying things that I enjoy and retaining information.
Now don't get me wrong, I have learned some amazing things in college that I can apply throughout my life, but what college contributed to my life that I'm most appreciative is improving my ability of knowing how to think and not what to think.
Ultimately, I don't want to just keeping going with the flow and doing what's easy, but actually doing my absolute best, 100%. I always say to myself, "What if I actually study?". From here on out I'm not just meeting the requirement, but taking a few more steps after to be that much more POPPIN'!
